Registration

 

Please remember to bring along the following documents:

 

  • Identity Card/Birth Certificate/Passport/Work Permit (COMPULSORY)
  • A soft copy or hardcopy of any dental X-rays that you may have. (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED)
  • It is recommended to email any soft copies in advance.
  • A soft copy or hardcopy of any dental report that your previous dentist may have written.
  • It is recommended to email any soft copies in advance.
  • A list of all the medications/supplements that you are currently taking.
  • Relevant medical reports from your general physician, cardiologist, oncologist or any relevant doctor.
  • Insurance cards/documentation and CHAS/PG cards

 

 

Your First Visit to Elite Dental Group

 

We pride ourselves in being different from your run-of-the-mill dental practice. We also realise that comparisons will invariably be made with your previous dentist, so here is what to expect at your first visit.

 

 

You will receive an appointment reminder by (SMS) 2 weeks, 3 days and 1 day in advance. If you are unable to make your appointment, please contact us as soon as possible by phone.

 

 

We endeavour to see all of our patients on time. If we are running behind schedule (due to unforeseen treatment complications, management of a severe emergency, delays from previous patients), we will inform you as soon as possible.

 

 

We ask that you extend the same courtesy to us so that we can manage our schedule to better care for you, should you be unable to make your appointment punctually.

 

 

At your first visit, please come in 15 minutes early so that registration can be completed in time. Please let us know any preferences and concerns (in advance!) that may have been formed by negative experiences with your previous dentist.

 

 

Keep jewelry (from the eyebrows to the neck) and lip makeup to a minimum. Metal jewelry or hair accessories may show up during your x-rays, covering up potential areas of interest.

 

 

During your first appointment (approx. 60 minutes), our dentist will conduct a thorough examination to ensure accurate documentation of any dental issues that you may have. The state of your overall systemic health will also be discussed because it may affect conditions in the mouth and/or vice versa.

 

 

Dental X-rays

 

Dental X-rays and high resolution photographs will be taken. These form the foundation for your baseline clinical records. It is easy to miss problems if dental X-rays are not taken, especially when there are no complaints of pain or discomfort. Dental X-rays may not be taken if you are pregnant or if you can provide recent dental X-rays that were taken no more 6 months prior to your visit.

 

 

We may also take a 3D digital intra-oral scan of the upper and lower teeth.

 

 

Payment Modes

 

We accept Cash, NETS, MasterCard, Visa, Amex and immediate interbank transfers.

 

We also have interest free instalment plans to make it easier for our patients to say yes to the treatment that they want and need.

 

 

Booking deposits

 

Long cases

 

Long appointments (> 60 minutes) for complex treatments are reserved with a deposit of $200, which will come from a portion of your treatment fee.

 

 

Saturday Morning Appointments

 

Due to the high demand for appointment slots on Saturday, a booking deposit of $50 will be taken for appointments that fall on Saturday.

 

 

Terms & Conditions

 

  • Booking deposits are carried forward if you reschedule at least 48 hours prior to your appointment time by phone call or in person.
  • This booking deposit is refundable if you cancel at least 48 hours prior to your appointment time by phone call or in person.
  • In the event of a cancellation and/or rescheduling less than 48 hours prior to your appointment, or appointment non-attendance, the booking deposit WILL NOT be refunded.
  • Please note that booking deposits are also required if you use cashless insurance. Your deposit will be refunded when you attend.

Driving

 

There are plenty of carpark lots available in Orchard Building. The parking rate is $1.30/30 mins from 6.30am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. For Saturdays, charges are the same as weekdays.

Cancellation/No Show Policy

 

At Elite Dental Group, we understand that there may be unforeseen circumstances that prevent you from keeping your appointment. If you are unable to keep your appointment, or if you need to reschedule, please do so within 48 hours. For more details, please click here to read our Cancellation Policy.

 

 

Pregnant Patients

 

You have a higher chance of developing dental problems such as tooth decay and gum disease due to hormonal changes and cravings during pregnancy. Your dental health has a huge influence on your overall health, which means that it can affect your growing baby too. Therefore, it is advised that you continue your regular dental maintenance during your pregnancy.

 

During your appointment, we will present to you an information sheet on the dental changes to expect during your pregnancy.

 

 

Health Tests

 

Saliva Testing

 

Saliva testing can help identify risk factors (bacterial load, oral pH, inflammation level) for dental problems (such as tooth decay and gum disease). Saliva testing can make it easier to visualize your personal dental risk profile, as well as optimize a preventative regimen.

 

 

Oral Cancer Screening 

 

At Elite Dental Group, we understand that early detection of cancer is crucial in increasing the chances for successful treatment. That is we perform cancer screening as part of your routine dental check-up, so as to ensure that your mouth is in perfect health. The dentist will perform a visual and manual examination of your inner mouth area; checking for any lumps, bumps, ulcers, white or red tissues, or anything that is not normal. The abnormalities may indicate that you have an increased risk of oral cancer.

 

 

Amenities

 

We designed our practice to make you feel at home. Enjoy free Wi-Fi, hot drinks, refreshments, reading materials, iPads, an internet corner and plush furnishings. Gaze into our beautiful custom built Paludarium and learn more about the different fishes — see if you can spot Yoda and R2D2!

 

For parents with children, do not worry! At our welcome lounge, you will find colouring pages as well as children’s books. Toys are also be available for children of all ages. Our clinic is wheelchair accessible.

 

Information from the clinical records will be used to:

 

  • Minimise your future risk of further problems with your mouth by discussing what you need to be doing on a day to day basis to maintain your oral hygiene.
  • Explain in detail all current problems as well as any aspect of your mouth that potentially could be improved with further work. When discussing treatment, all treatment or material options will be discussed, so that you can decide what treatment would be right for you.
  • We will do what we can to help you to choose appropriate treatments. If a treatment option has a poor long term prognosis it will be made clear. If one treatment option has significant advantages in strength and reliability that will be discussed so that you can weigh that against the initial cost and again decide what is right for you.
