2. Why can’t the dentist ever see me on time?

At Elite Dental Group, our dentists try to run on time – all the time, so that you can keep your commitments outside of our dental practice. We understand that your life does not revolve around your dental appointments with us. Nobody likes to be seen late and nobody likes to spend hours sitting on the dental chair.

We Respect Your Time

At Elite Dental, we endeavour to do the following:

  • We never double-book appointments unless an emergency arises.
  • We will inform you of your appointment duration well in advance.
  • We will perform advanced dentistry as efficiently as possible, with as minimal chair time as possible.

Treatment complications, patient lateness and technical difficulties may cause us to run behind schedule occasionally. If we anticipate being unable to make your scheduled appointment time, we will inform you as early as possible so that you may plan to arrive later or reschedule your appointment.

In the event of a short wait, enjoy complimentary snacks, beverages, an internet corner and high quality reading material in our welcome lounge.

New patients should arrive at least 15 minutes before the appointed time to ensure valuable clinical time is not taken up by the registration process.

Dental Emergencies

Unscheduled dental emergencies are part of any general dental practice. All emergencies are typically seen on the same day, and this may disrupt an already very busy schedule.

We usually have ONE emergency appointment slot pre-booked daily. And we guarantee same day appointments for patients who are in severe acute pain. Please contact our front office for assistance.

Complex Dental Procedures

Advanced dentistry (multiple crowns, onlays, veneers, dental implant surgery, root canal treatment, and full mouth rehabilitation) for the management of complex dental problems may require you have an extended appointment duration for efficient treatment. This may mean treating multiple teeth in a single area in one longer session rather than treating individual teeth in separate sessions.

Despite sufficient time being booked for unexpected complications or additional treatment (e.g. an extra filling on an adjacent tooth that may be required) that may become apparent only once treatment has begun, we may take longer than expected to complete the treatment session.

We try to stay punctual whenever possible to minimize wait times. If you are in treatment and your appointment is running a bit longer than anticipated, we will give you time to make any necessary arrangements to shift your appointments outside of our practice.

3. Why does it seem that dentists push for treatment that I feel is unnecessary?

5. Why is dental treatment so expensive?
